A delicious and easy-to-make protein-packed treat!
This recipe is optimized for using a Ninja Creami ice cream maker.Â
Ingredients
• 2 scoops high-quality whey protein isolate (such as Tone Protein Vanilla; OR try the cake pop flavor for a fun twist)
• Unsweetened almond milk
• Naturally dyed sugar-free sprinkles (optional)
Tools You’ll Need
• Ninja Creami Ice Cream Maker
Instructions
1. Prepare the Mixture
In a Ninja Creami container, add 2 scoops of whey protein isolate (I use Tone Protein which is vanilla flavored, but you could also try a protein that has a cake pop flavor for an even more funfetti like flavor) and unsweetened almond milk. Fill just below the maximum fill line. Stir to combine well.
2. Freeze
For a soft-serve consistency, freeze the mixture for at least 8 hours. For a firmer texture, freeze for 24 hours.
3. Spin & Re-spin
After freezing, place the container in the Ninja Creami ice cream maker. Select the “Light Ice Cream” mode and let it spin. Once complete, remove and run the cycle again on the “Re-spin” mode for a smoother texture.
4. Add The Sprinkes
Top your ice cream with the naturally dyed sugar-free sprinkles and fold in gently to your ice cream.
5. Enjoy!
Scoop, serve, and enjoy a delicious, high-protein treat! Using Tone Protien yields one serving and packs 40g of protein (Tone Protein which has 20 g of protein per scoop and 0 fat).
