Homemade Electrolyte Gummy Bears (Sugar-Free & High Protein)
If you’re anything like me, you know how much easier it is to stay hydrated when it’s actually enjoyable. Lately I’ve been making these homemade electrolyte gummy bears as a fun way to support hydration while satisfying my sweet tooth.
They’re made with grass-fed gelatin, naturally sweetened with allulose and stevia, and flavored with one of my favorite electrolyte mixes—Cure Hydration. They taste like gummy candy but also provide electrolytes in every bite.
These are especially nice after a workout, on hot summer days, while traveling, or anytime you want a refreshing snack.
Why You’ll Love These Gummies
- Naturally sweetened with allulose and stevia
- High in protein from gelatin
- No artificial colors or flavors
- Delicious way to enjoy electrolytes
- Easy to customize with your favorite Cure flavor
Ingredients
- 200 mL water
- 1 packet (18 g) unflavored gelatin
- 35–40 g allulose
- 10–15 drops liquid stevia (adjust to taste)
- 1 packet Cure Hydration electrolyte mix (or what you have in hand) in your favorite flavor
- Optional: ¼ teaspoon citric acid for a more tart, candy-like finish
Instructions
- Pour the water into a small saucepan.
- Sprinkle the gelatin evenly over the surface and allow it to bloom for 5 minutes.
- Heat gently over low heat, stirring until the gelatin is completely dissolved. Do not boil.
- Stir in the allulose until fully dissolved.
- Remove from the heat and whisk in the Cure Hydration packet and the liquid stevia. Add citric acid if using.
- Taste the mixture. It should be slightly sweeter than you’d like the finished gummies, since they will taste less sweet once chilled.
- Carefully pour into silicone gummy molds.
- Refrigerate for 30–60 minutes, or until fully set.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
Tips
- For a softer gummy, increase the water slightly.
- For a firmer, chewier gummy, use a little less water.
- Silicone gummy bear molds work best, but any small silicone mold will work.
My Favorite Flavor
I’ve been making these with Cure Hydration because I already use it regularly and love that it’s made with coconut water powder, contains no artificial sweeteners, and is formulated to support rapid hydration. It gives these gummies a bright, fruity flavor without needing artificial ingredients.
